Teachings with Geshe Tashi Tsering

Friday Night Teachings

Ven. Geshe Tashi Tsering is the resident Geshe at Chenrezig Institute, our sister centre in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Geshe-la is an exceptionally well-qualified Tibetan master, with over 45 years of experience in all aspects of Buddhist theory and practice. He has a skillful understanding of the western mind and is a warm and enthusiastic teacher.

The Way of the Bodhisattva
Geshe-la is teaching from the text The Way of the Bodhisattva, advice on how to make every day of this life both compassionate and meaningful. We have just begun the chapter on "Meditation". Geshe-la explains the essential meaning of each verse, unraveling the code as it were, and elaborates on the often oblique references. He gives us supremely practical advice on how to follow these methods so as to be able to change our mind, and thus our life, for the better. Although we are working our way through the root text, you can still join at any time.

If you become a member of LTC you can download transcripts of the current teaching from our Member's Area in the website. CD ROM's of these teachings are available for HOME STUDY from our shop.

There is time at the end of teachings for questions, and please join us for tea and biscuits afterwards. If you bring your children, please be prepared to sit with them keep them quiet.
